Apocalypse "Human"
Lateral thinking
Year of origin: 2024
Dimensions: 70 x 100 cm
Type: Unique
Technique: Akrylic + oil of canvas
Freedom of expression, one has the impression these days, is increasingly becoming the freedom of those who think like themselves in many places around the world. People preach tolerance, are open, but sanction everything that doesn't fit into their own world view. And anyone who argues against it is assumed to be a “lateral thinker”. A few years ago, the term simply meant someone who thinks unconventionally or - in the philosophical sense - is a free spirit. A free and liberal society in particular is based on fundamental rights, regulated procedures and legal protection. Basic rights such as freedom of expression are defensive rights against invasive, powerful and totalitarian states, systems with so-called “truth ministries”. Especially in today's turbulent times, it is important to take responsibility and think about upcoming questions and the important things in life!
Silence of Peace
Year of origin: 2024
Dimensions: 100 x 80 cm
Type: Unique
Technique: Akrylic + oil on canvas
A soldier in uniform. Traumatized. At some point he will speak, when and how he lost his first life. He will show his wife his wounds, the physical and the psychological, the scarred and the ones that will never heal. It is the war that has left these wounds. One of many over the centuries. Currently, people are fighting against people in many places around the world. Destroyed homes, torn bodies, flight and expulsion and - tears... Why are there always wars, why don't we manage to live in peace? Is peace perhaps just an illusion? Just as wars arise in people's minds, peace also arises in our minds. Each of us is responsible for it! And if we assume that we have free will, we can of course choose war or peace. Just imagine the following scenario: It's war and nobody is going! There is always hope for peace. Just as the dove grows out of the soldier's body...
Frozen
Year of origin: 2024
Dimension: 120 x 100 cm
Type: Unique
Technique: Akrylic and oil on canvas
Empathy, emotional intelligence, creativity, acting according to gut feeling... What are we left with as humans if we are deprived of sovereignty over these abilities? We used to give humans the command, but today the AI is in charge. For many, it is seen as a savior for issues that seem to overwhelm us as humans. It solves seemingly insoluble questions and problems for us at incredible speed. And she supposedly knows all the buttons that you have to press so that WE function optimally. Is this what we want for ourselves? The human of the future - a predictable, controlled and ice-cold being without a human spirit, frozen somewhere between circuits, algorithms and program codes? Controlled by machines that calculate probabilities, register and copy patterns, read out tones and emotions and seemingly adapt them entirely to us? At the same time, with all this technology, there is growing concern as to whether and how it will be misused and also which political systems they can better use in a competition to further expand and consolidate their power. Have the courage to use your own understanding - as humans we have intuition and experience, as well as law and morality and we can relate to and love our counterparts, God and the entire earthly world with all its beings
The protector of one's own mind
Year of origin: 2024
Dimensions: 100 x 100 cm
Type: Unique
Technique: Akrylic and oil on canvas
Populist, favor-seeking politicians who only hang their flag in the wind, ideology-driven misjudgments, corruption, etc. And media that plays along without criticism. The result: conformism, mainstream thinking and politically instrumentalized, uniformly ticking people who hang like puppets on the strings of this state power in a country without national identity. Robbed of your own mind. And anyone who resists will have their brains drilled out in the most brutal way. What a surreal, distant scenario! Or is it already closer than we think? Do we really want to live in a world like this? Do we find fulfillment in this? The picture wants to be a warning call to all people of good will and a clear mind, an encouragement to think for themselves, because knowledge is power: “Sapere aude! Stand up! Have the courage to use your own mind!”

Dimensions: 190 x 90 cm
Type: Unique
Technique: Acrylic + paste on canvas
Europe and the world are currently facing challenges that shake the very foundations of democratic thought: terror, violence, the refugee crisis, the power behavior of statesmen - in our post-factual age, rough feelings, aggression and conspiracy theories dominate. In the worst case, the collapse of Europe, including our humanistic value system, could threaten. "The Decay of Europe" wants to bring this scenario closer to the recipient and encourage him to think.
The Consumer Refuser
Year of origin: 2014
Dimensions: 190 x 90 cm
Type: Unique
Technique: Acrylic + paste on canvas
Are they people from an "antiquated time" just because they refuse the "Apple madness" that is poured over our heads every day with countless advertising products? Because they doubt the model of perpetual growth and therefore draw their conclusions? "The consumer refuser" (deliberately depicted in a dungeon as a "Renaissance man") wants to touch the recipient and ask them to ask themselves this question - with all its data side effects.
Fukushima

Dimensions: 190 x 90 cm
Type: Unique
Technique: Acrylic + paste on canvas
In the final of the Heise Art Prize 2013
On March 11, 2011, the devastating tsunami hit the coast of Japan one of the worst reactor catastrophes in human history. The painting Fukushima "Against Oblivion" was created out of an inner drive. At the same time, it should also be a message for a more responsible use of technology for the benefit of nature and a life that is fair to the generations.
Dance around the Golden Calf
Year of origin: 2012
Dimensions:90x190 cm
Type: Unique
Technique: Acrylic + paste on canvas
What has become of our world? Why don't we learn from history? People from the past and from the present - all dance around this sanctified golden calf, prostitute themselves, sell themselves through the millennia. How long do we want to allow this "culture of corruption"?!
Homs
Year of origin: 2014
Dimensions: 40x50 cm
Type: Unique
Technique: Acrylic on canvas
The girl's look, sad, hopeless, alone - an expression of her loss. Wars leave deep scars in the lives of children: families torn apart, thousands of schools and kindergartens destroyed - and the constant fear of new bombings. The painting "Homs" is a symbol for all children and young people who are robbed of their childhood and youth by wars, whether in Syria or currently in the Ukraine. Children represent the future of their country. If you want to prevent a lost generation, you have to give them hope for a future. What it looks like depends on OUR actions. WE have to set the right course for this!
Bellum aureum
Year of origin: 2018
Type: Unique
Technique: Helmet with coffee beans, Acrylic gold
Hot, aromatic, with milk and sugar or simply black - a cup of coffee is simply a part of life for many people. What many people are not aware of: It is a long way from harvesting the ripe coffee cherries in countries of the Global South to the finished roasted coffee beans, but above all there is an enormous increase in value. The companies and coffee roasters in the northern hemisphere primarily benefit from this - but not the pickers in the plantations of the growing regions such as Guatemala, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, etc. The beans used come from different countries of origin. The color gold symbolizes the money earned in this "Bellum Aureum".
